Safetyline Jalousie founders, Leigh and Nathan Rust joined the CEO Sleepout, together with other leaders in business, community and government to help change the lives of Australians experiencing homelessness.
Leigh and Nathan partnered with St Vinnies to raise awareness and support Australians who are doing it tough by sleeping without shelter on one of the longest nights of the year. The CEO Sleepout on June 20th was part of a yearly initiative to expose the human experience behind the statistics. Homelessness in Australia can vary greatly – from sleeping on the streets or moving between temporary situations, to living in a crowded or unsafe dwelling that effects a person’s ability to participate in family and community life.
The Safetyline Jalousie team was proud to raise $5,625 that will provide people experiencing homelessness with vital access to food and accommodation. The fundraising efforts of the 2019 CEO Sleepout was a huge success, with a record $7.3 million dollars raised in total.
