Altitude by Meriton has stolen the spotlight of Parramatta’s skyline rising up to 54 levels, making it the tallest towers in Sydney’s second CBD. This $700 million twin-tower riverfront development comprises of a childcare centre and a retail / restaurant precinct. The residential tower itself contains 377 modern apartments with five-star guest and resident facilities.
Award-winning architects, Tony Caro Architects, designed the two towers not to impede each other’s views. Rising 170 metres and featuring 360 degree views, they are framed by the banks of Parramatta river. The team had strict design requirements to meet in the 2011 design competition for this project. The development needed to be naturally ventilated and well-lit, but still allowing for privacy.
That was when Safetyline Jalousie louvres came in as the perfect solution.
With extra large spans, Safetyline Jalousie louvres ensure maximum use of cross-flow ventilation and hence, reduce reliance on air-conditioning and heating. The unique mechanics of louvre windows also provide inhabitants with full control over how much natural light into the room and ensure privacy when necessary.
With such architectural excellence and innovative features, Altitude by Meriton was awarded the 2018 Development of the Year at the Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Awards.
Safetyline Jalousie participates in a series of industry networking events and trade shows across Australia each year.
