We’re Committed to Ensuring the Health and Safety of Our Team During Covid-19

Prior to the development of a nationally-consistent work health and safety policy, some businesses operating within COVID-19 hotspots in NSW have become early adopters of chemical fogging.

After hearing about the unique product & technique that successfully kills COVID-19, Safetyline Jalousie‘s Director Leigh Rust engaged the services of Outdoor Cleaning Specialists to disinfect and sanitise his louvre window factory and offices in Belrose.

“When you’re in the middle of a health crisis, you want to do everything you can to look after your people,” said Leigh.

The chemical fogging dispenses by mist, a heavy-duty, non-toxic, eco-friendly cleanser, sanitiser and hospital-grade disinfectant to all surfaces. “For businesses like ours, operating out of a factory, its a far more efficient way to clean and disinfect,” he said.

Outdoor Cleaning Specialists Managing Director Brad Cobern was one of the first businesses of his kind to pivot their service offering to handle an increase in demand for professional COVID-19 sanitisation. “When the Pandemic was announced, we were already contracted to clean the heritage sandstone and footpaths at The Rocks,” said Brad.

“Working so close to the overseas passenger terminal; I wanted to ensure the health & safety of, not only my staff, but for others who worked there too.”

“We started chemical fogging around frequently touched surfaces in and around the area with our COVID-19 approved chemical, but at no charge,” he said.

“We recorded one of our crew spraying the street, and we uploaded the video to social media where a few people made jokes about looking like Ghostbusters,” he said.

The video helped bring in new enquires from commercial businesses encouraging Brad to invest in additional foggers and product.

“Our business has now pivoted to meet the needs of commercial businesses, community spaces and high-risk locations including nursing homes and health care spaces,” said Brad.

“The need for this service will continue to increase, especially once social distancing measures are relaxed,” he said.
